ABOUT US

Peter Wrio, creator of Epernay Bistro and Wine Bar, had forever dreamed of owning a small European style Bistro. And now he has. As former Chef at Old Greenwich's popular CafĂ© du Bec Fin, and the chef behind the Inn at Longshore's reemergence as a fine dining establishment during the 80's, Peter is dedicated to serving tantalizing casual bistro food, freshly prepared with quality ingredients, and offered at a reasonable price.

Open for four years now, Epernay Bistro was recently selected by readers of the Fairfield County Weekly as Fairfield County's Best French Bistro. The Bistro's head server also received an award for his serving excellence and product knowledge.

Named after a small wine and champagne making French town in France's Reims region, Epernay offers a large variety of carefully selected French and domestic wines by the glass or bottle, top-shelf quality for the discerning palate, at the right price. This, along with it's consistently delicious bistro food, are just two reasons why the eatery's loyal customers return, time and again.

The atmosphere and vibe at Epernay is relaxed, welcoming and hip. From it's french inspired colors and decor, to the intricately designed multi-colored glass chip mosaic bar top, which incidentally, was created and installed by Peter, the Bistro transports you, and makes you feel as if you've just walked into a quaint bistro in Epernay, France.
